OHL Standard Player Agreement: Guide for Agents and Players
Congratulations on receiving a Standard Player Agreement for the Ontario Hockey League.!
This guide will walk you through the digital signature process, powered by RinkNet, and what to expect when you receive an e-mail notification when a contract has been initiated.
For Agents
A copy of your client's Permissible Benefits being offered by the signing team will be sent over to you for review. This is the first step in the Standard Player Agreement.
- You will receive an email from no-reply-contracts@rinknet.com with the negotiated terms for your client's Player Agreement. Please check your junk or spam folder if you did not receive this email.
- The Team's contact will be copied in this email and you can reply if you have any questions. If you have not received the email from the Team, you may request the Team to click the Remind button their end to re-send a copy of the email.
- If all the terms look correct, click on the button at the bottom Send to Player. This will send an email to your client, who will have the option to select a Legal Representative as part of the agreement process.
NOTE: It is important to click the Send to Player button when all the terms look acceptable, otherwise your client's contract will not be created in the system.
For Players and Parents
The Player / Parent review process will start with a selection for Legal Review. Additionally, if the player is a minor, the player's Guardian will be required to review and sign the agreement as well.
- You will be receiving an email from no-reply-contracts@rinknet.com to first specify whether you would like to use a Legal Representative for review of your contract. Please check your junk or spam folder if you did not receive this email.
- At this point the contract is not created yet until we receive information about whether you would like your Legal Representative to review the agreement.
- Click on Submit Information which will direct you to a page to allow you to make a selection on your preferred signing method.

- Select between whether you would like to Sign with or without a Legal Representative
- Without Legal Representative: When you receive the contract, you will be asked to sign the Waiver section indicating that you have decided not to sign with a Legal Representative.
- With Legal Representative: You will need to provide the name and email of your Legal Representative as they will be required to review and sign the agreement

- Once you have made your selection, click on Proceed to Sign
- Next, an agreement will now be created for review.
- If you selected Without Legal Representative, you should see an email from notifications@zohosign.com with a copy of the contract. At this stage, you will be asked to sign the Waiver section of the document acknowledging that you are proceeding without a Legal Represntative.
- If you selected With Legal Representative, your representative will first see an email from notifications@zohosign.com with a copy of the contract to review and sign.
- Any signature request will be an email that looks like the following template, click Start Signing to review and sign.

- After this step, if the player is a minor, the Guardian will receive a copy of the contract to review and sign via e-mail.
- Next, you will receive a copy of the contract via e-mail to review and sign after all the previous signees have filled in their information and sign.
- Once you have signed the agreement, you have completed your part!
- The final steps will involve going to the Teams and the League for final signature, all parties who have signed will receive an e-mail notification along with a download link to the completed agreement for your records.
